    well, hi first to everybody
i have a problem and here it is; im new graduated as an english teacher and waiting for the resualt of this CAPES i decided to get a teaching experience by working in some private schools.
the problem is that i dont know how to combine courses with each others, in other words i can teach grammar very well as well as reading or listening...etc but each one by itself, i dont know what to do to use one text to teach comprehension and grammar together. i guess it's pedagogical prblelm, isnt?.
some told me that there's a book and a kind of courses about that but i cant find them and unfortunatly we didnt take this matter in our last year of studying
please guys if anyone can help me, it's really important for me
(plz if you didnt get me,dont hesitate to ask me to re-explain it again) and thanks a lot

hi man , i am an english language teacher & i think that u can combine especially grammar & reading by making students pick out sentences from the text under study to be studeied later on as chunks in grammar

The integration of different skills in ELT is quite advisable. This integration is achieved in different ways. You may, for example, integrate grammar & vocabulary through the use of tables. Your students would read a text ( Reading) & they're asked to complete tables with the right chronological order of the events mentioned in the text. And you can provide them with scrambled words/ verbs in the tense you like to fill in each blank. As such, they are dealing with grammar & vocabulary in the same way. Think also of choosing some utterances from your text & asking your students to define either the infinitive or simple past forms of the verbs between brackets. To make this clearer & simpler, I would advise you to draw a table & each form ( past / infinitive..) would be in a column . These are just some methods I've written in a hurry, & I would be pleased to answer any of your questions. See you

I'm a teacher of English too and what i can say to you is that teaching grammar has to be done most importantly in context and inductively that means also incidentally: make students deduce the grammatical rule by themselves and do not be the provider of the information for ex: you're teaching reading comrehension: after answering the comprehension question you can ask your students to focus on just one paragraph and let's say ask them to underline all the verbs in it (your focus is the simple past) and then ask them what they notice in these verbs they will say that there is something in common between most of the verbs which is that they end with "ed": ahhh that's it here you come to the point and make them deduce the rule that is the rule for the regular verbs in the past is verb + ed .
The same method can be applied to all other structures or even in teaching vocab.
Try to be as much creative as possible in making the teaching of grammar interesting for the students because all students hate learning grammar decontextualised.
Have always an interesting context to teach grammar and Good luck bro

as for the materials that may help you in planning the lessons, you can ask the inspector for the materials he gives to the novice teachers; they are of a quite importance
