    Hello Everybody !

It happened to me a lot of times that when I talked to people, they show a feverish love for the past. And if you ask them whether they prefer the past or the present, they would undoubtedly say the past. What amazes me strongly is that the past they prefer & long for has fewer advantages and attractions. People used to lead a simlple life & they didn't have the means we have today. This paradox has pushed me to get an overall picture of such a desire for those days. One day, I decided to talk to an older man of my relatives. He kept looking at me for moments, heaved a sigh & said, " The past is better a million times. It's true that we had faced so many hardships & lacked for lots of things. But we did have strong and cherished values which were for us a guide in our lives. I think one should cry for a nation over its worsening values. People today aren't like those of yesterday any more. As for friends, I think that the meaning of this word has known a big metamorphosis & the notion of friendship is likely to come to an end. If you like to enjoy your life, don't try to make new friends & don't try to look for someone to rely on. Be all the time happy with yourself , take your family & job into consideration, & don't poke your nose into other people's affairs. Act as if dumb or deaf, and you'll avoid problems and achieve self-satisfaction."

The words of that man have stimulated so many confusing ideas into my mind. At the end of his speech, I didn't know exactly how to act : to laugh or to cry. So why not together focus on his speech & try to analyze it & look for in-between intentions?

    My deepest thanks

I agree with all these idea and also thinking about living once again in the past
but I like what the man said 'Be all the time happy with yourself'
because happiness helps so much and gives a lot of goodness

    Don't worry just be happy

the present or the past , that ever-lasting deliemma . should we be happy with our present for it is the edge where everything is possible ? or rather stick to the past ,symbol of happiness and values.
it has been proven that man is never happy with his life : he regrets the past , hates the present and fears the unknown future. our fathers loved their past and cursed their present so do we . it is not because the past is better but because we can't do differently. Friendship yesterday is the same as today and it will be tomorrow . other values don't make the exception and once we get to love our present , we will never regret our past .

yeah man it's an omnipresent issue in my head,I always dream about the past,I watch pictures, videos,I produce videos all the time to remind me always of how great the past used to be,how much things were easier back then, but I also think it's kind of dellusional, because like you said my brother woodi,it has been proven that people regret the past, because the past is of course longer and richer than any present could be,plus people do not often remember their dark moments of pain that took place in the past their minds only archive the good moments,so sometimes I like to think that the present will soon join the archive of the past that I will look at with regret some day,so I should focus more on making the present the best way i can so that it remains later a better memory, and sometimes I find a comfort in producing videos that speak of me,I will share with you two samples of my nostalgic videos:

three minute production on google video
    thirteen minute video on megaupload

I would like to thank you Dawn for your rich & valuable participation. As for the 2 videos, I'm really touched a lot by that magical innocence of yours at school. It has definitely reminded me of my sweet school days...Gone are those days
