    Hi, dear brethren !

Gender is said to be the social, cultural & historical elements defining the relationships between men and women in every society. Through the ages, these relationships have known ups and downs & have built up in every man's & women's psyche & mind images and conceptions about the other sex. I have chosen, as a matter of fact, to focus on our Tunisian society. My only & unique objective is to analyze things rationally & correctly, and to be aware of the process of the change in the man-woman relationship. In the past, let's say the years of colonization, women were mere "objects" & "machines" whose role was to bring up kids, satisfy her spouse sexualy & do all the housechores. Her unique space where she used to act was her home. Little by little, and with the change of the political scene & environment, she has encountered lots of improvements & her image of herself as well as of man has altered to a great extent. I would like, on this very occasion, to know your opinion about such changes. Has Tunisian woman gained much or little ? And has she left forever the sieges of the patriarchal society in which she used to live & submit ? In addition, is woman politically correct, I mean fair & kind in her present view of man ? And do you think that there's a common understanding of each other's role in society ? Or there's but suspicion, mistrust & problems of conceptions about how each one thinks of the other ?

Feel free to rationalize the topic & post whatever opinion you have.

    Kindest Regards

after what happened last night, i dont know if im welcomed here but this wont stop me to say what i want here

i guess that even talking about men and women is a kind of discrimination. according to the challenges we are facing these days, we should act as just citizens where every part try to give the best for the sake of the country.
40 is the percentage of women in Tunisia, that's a big number which prove itself to be an important part in the society

َAnd what do you think of people who are specialized in such a field ? Are they but discriminating people ? They teach in the best of the universities of the world . Shall we say they're doing nothing ????!!! The issue of gender is treated everywhere, on television, in faculties & seminaries. I felt that you have politicized the issue. Let me say to you : why do we always politicize things rather than rationalize them ????
We have to focus on every issue & bear in mind that a true & effective analysis is that in which we deal with the different aspects.

    You're welcome as usual

Thank you bravexx for these subjects I really appreciate them
(In passing, I agree with u and I think that this forum is not for chatting, anyway forget about it)

On the subject of “MAN and woMAN”
I think that Masculinity can have two directions, just as feminineness can have two directions. The masculine mind can be aggressive, violent; destructive.
Men have tried that, and humanity has suffered much from it. And when men try this negative aspect of masculinity, women naturally start moving into the negative feminineness, just to keep together with men.
Otherwise the rift will be too great.
When the feminine is negative it is inactivity, lethargy, indifference. The negative man can only have a bridge with a negative woman.
Man and woman both together, moving positively, are one whole. And the real couple is one in which each has joined with the other in a positive way
    Conclusion
Man alone will not be able to go very far. Woman alone will be just a pool of energy with no possibility of any dynamic movement. When both are together they are complementary.
No one is higher than the other; complementaries are never higher and lower, complementaries are equal. Neither the man nor the woman is higher, they are complementaries. Together they make a whole, and together they can create a holiness which is not possible for either separately.
